Creating a warm and friendly environment is really important for DEEP BLUE DIVING. This is not only amongst the crew, guests also immediately feel the relaxed family atmosphere that reigns at the dive centre. For us, working together is not an empty phrase but everyday life at DEEP BLUE DIVING. Heart and humour belong here and are just as important as the safety of guests. A dive with the DEEP BLUE DIVING Crew is just different - you will remember it!

The dive centre DEEP BLUE DIVING in Caleta de Fuste was founded in 1984 and was certified for CMAS/VDST. Since august 1999 the dive centre has been run by Roland Mårtensson from Sweden and Volker Berbig from Germany. The two passionate divers have made the dive centre what it is today: one of the best in Fuerteventura.

Development of dive sites
Berbig and Mårtensson are adventurers and simultaneously quality-conscious managers. They have discovered and developed all diving areas that are used by DEEP BLUE DIVING. They constantly integrate new training programs and push the quality of the entire product range. This is also reflected in the numerous awards that DEEP BLUE DIVING have received.

VDST Exam Centre
Since 2003 the VDST also holds its federal exams for instructors with DEEP BLUE DIVING. All Instructor levels are tested at DEEP BLUE DIVING.

Beautiful, modern and with disabled access
Since early 2015 DEEP BLUE DIVING has its new site based in the harbour of Caleta de Fuste. It covers more than 600 square meters and contains everything divers need: a swimming pool, toilets and shower facilities, space for equipment, a training room and a bar, the dive centre has disabled access with a ramp, equipped with easily accessible boats and disabled bathroom facilities.

Partner of AIDA Cruises
Since the end of 2015, DEEP BLUE DIVING is a partner of AIDA Cruises. DBD organises the training and placement of instructors for the cruise company.

The main base of DEEP BLUE DIVING initially employed 4 employees; now we have12 staff in the winter and in the summer up to 19 people work there.

DEEP BLUE DIVING Las Playitas
The second base of DEEP BLUE DIVING is in Las Playitas, slightly further south on the island. The base was opened together with the adjoining hotel complex in 2005. Since August 2009 Las Playitas is a PADI 5 Star Instructor Development Resort. However DEEP BLUE DIVING offers training of SSI, CMAS / PADI and VDST at both bases.

DEEP BLUE DIVING Las Playitas has only three small dive sites due to the geographical conditions and is therefore mainly a training location. The deep dive sites are located in Caleta. DEEP BLUE DIVING normally has two or three instructors based at this location.
