Caleta de Fuste (also referred to as El Castillo) is a family paradise in Fuerteventura. At the golden beach Playa del Castillo, which is protected by a long harbour wall, you can swim safely in its tranquil waters.

Mainly families spend their holidays here. Comfortable holiday accommodation is situated in attractive natural surroundings. Around the resorts you will find many restaurants, bars and supermarkets. In the evenings, live entertainment is offered in most areas.

The yacht harbour, in which is situated our dive centre, has a very
special flair. Regularly big Atlantic sailors make a stop-over. It is the best place to smell the scent of the big wide world and it's worth strolling along the harbour or to have a drink on the terrace of the harbour building with its impressive Tower.

After british corsairs 1740 had attacked the island, people started building a fortress between 1741 and 1743 to protect the harbour. It was built in the shape of a round tower, designed by the military architect Claudio de Lisle. It is similar to the fortress of Cotillo in the North. Because there were no more attacks both of the fortresses has never been used. The Castillo is situated at the edge of the beach and has been integrated in the construction of the Barceló Club El Castillo Resort.

In May 2003 Fuerteventuras first 18 whole Golfcourse opened near the city limits of Caleta de Fuste. The Golfcourse, located at the edge of the sea, is the first and so far only Golfcourse on the island.

Apart from a beautiful course it offers a perfect infrastructure:
2 Five-Star-Hotels, 2 Four-Star-Hotels, Villas, Bungalows, Appartments, cinema in two languages, supermarket and shopping centre.

The Golfcourse itself has Par 70 Standard on a length of 6049 meters.
